A special fund has been created to support the Red & Blue Foundation

The Greater Coeur d’Alene Community Foundation (GCCF) and The Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) are devastated by the horrific act of violence that occurred in Coeur d’Alene on June 29. Our thoughts are with the fallen, the injured, their loved ones, and the entire first responder community. We stand in sorrow, in solidarity, and in deep gratitude for those who put themselves in harm’s way to protect others.

In moments like these, the strength and compassion of Idaho’s communities shine through. The Greater Coeur d’Alene Community Foundation has established a special fund to support the Red & Blue Foundation, which has a long history of serving Kootenai County’s first responders and their families.

As a statewide organization, ICF is proud to partner with hundreds of caring Idahoans who choose to give back to the communities they love. Through this network of generous fundholders and donors, we can mobilize quickly to meet urgent needs. The fund established by GCCF provides a pathway for those across the state who wish to support Coeur d’Alene during this difficult time and direct their giving through a trusted partner.

As the full impact of this tragedy unfolds, both GCCF and ICF remain committed to walking alongside our community—to support healing, resilience, and long-term recovery.
