Scott and Mary Lou Reed Tribute fund

Mary Lou Reed is coming up on her 95th birthday this year and we want to celebrate Mary Lou and her late husband Scott.  The Reed’s have championed and done so much for our community, region and state.  The history of their combined careers to protect and conserve the environment, advocate for human rights, support arts and culture, foster educational opportunities and generally create a strong and vibrant community.

We are currently spearheading a campaign to raise funds for a Scott and Mary Lou Reed Tribute.  A bench, to be placed at the base of Tubbs Hill, will be designed and built by artists Allen and Mary Dee Dodge and a donation in Mary Lou and Scott names to the Greater Coeur d’Alene Community Foundation Endowment. The bench will symbolize the various aspects of our beautiful environment that the Reed’s have supported, cherished, and made possible for all of us to enjoy. 

We are hoping to dedicate it to Mary Lou at the end of April. We are asking all friends and organizations that have benefited from the activism of these two extraordinary individuals to please contribute!  Your gift will go through the Greater Coeur d'Alene Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Idaho Community Foundation, and will be tax deductible.
